Sabrina + Morton ~ 8/10/19

You know that kind of love that's just indescribable because it's so perfect yet so unique? Yeah that's Sabrina + Morton.

This night was absolutely incredible.

I drove up to Meredith, New Hampshire and met Ally (@allymercierphotography), Sabrina, and Morton. We hung around Ally's house for a while and got ready. I met Ally's whole family and got to see them in the cute little New Hampshire home. I got to know Sabrina + Morton a little as they got dressed- learning a little about how they met in India. At about 4:45 we drove up to the White Mountains. As we drove in, it started pouring rain. Ally and I started freaking out a little bit, but we quickly noticed some blue sky ahead. So, we chased it. And man, did this game work out for us. We drove straight through the storm and ended up at a river off the side of the road. Morton and Sabrina hopped all over the rocks and played in the river as Ally and I shot away.

We spent about 15 minutes at the river then hopped back in the car and started driving over to our original spot. By the time we got there, the skies had cleared and we ran (quite literally) to the top of the mountain with as little slipping as possible. Playing to their adventurous spirits, Sabrina + Morton decided to go barefoot up the cliff! When we reached the top, the four of us just sat for a few minutes and took it all in. The view was stunning. The golden light from the sun shone on the mountains in front of us. The lake just below us was so still and calm despite the storm that had passed through just 15 minutes ago. As Sabrina + Morton began to wander around, we followed them, capturing them doing what they love most- exploring Mother Earth.

5 minutes in, Morton walked over to her, got down on one knee, and asked Sabrina to marry him.

Ally and I had (and of course, Sabrina) HAD NO IDEA! We were all caught off guard but totally excited. Once this happened, we sat down and just got to know each other more. I wanted to hear more about their story as I got to be part of their engagement! They basically live my dream life. Traveling the world, creating, loving, and evolving. To me, their one with Mama Earth. They LOVE to be covered in dirt, to soak in her water with their bare skin. Sabrina is an artist. She creates the most beautiful pieces of natural things, showing her beliefs through art. After getting to know each other a little more, we continued taking pictures- but this time their personalities shone through. They felt comfortable and were able to be just themselves- free.

Sabrina + Morton bought this blanket together in India, where they first met, and Morton made sure to bring it up the mountain with them for this special moment.

We ended the night by hiking down and driving 5 minutes back home, just to pull off the side of the road again and snag a few shots of Sabrina + Morton all wrapped up in front of this beautiful lake located at the base of Cannon Mountain. I'm unbelievably blessed to have clients like this. To meet people who live the life I want to live. Who seem so in tune with nature. Whose love is incredibly inspiring. Sabrina + Morton- I will truly never forget this day.
